Our dear Joe died this morning. He was exactly where he wanted to be – at home in Assisi Community and he was at peace knowing that he had done what was his to do. I know he is now resting in the arms of God, but it is hard to imagine a world without Joe Nangle! He loved you all so much. In many ways, PAX was his first home when he arrived from Lima so many years ago and what a gift he has been. Now he is part of the great cloud of witnesses who give us all hope – always a Franciscan brother. Joe Nangle, OFM, Presenté!!
Joe’s funeral will be on Saturday, December 21 at noon at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Arlington, Virginia. Viewing will be at 11:00 am and his funeral will be live streamed.
