Return to Liturgy in Person – AND on Zoom – 9 am ET, May 22, 2022

From the Steering Committee:

Our PAX liturgy on May 22 will be a “test drive” for our return to an onsite service combined with a zoom liturgy.  A few important notes:

This liturgy will start at 9:00 AM

(rather than our usual 9:30 for Zoom-only liturgies)

The liturgy will include participants onsite at St. Luke’s and participants via Zoom.

For those participating at St. Luke’s:

We are concerned for the safety of community members and our presiders and will be taking the following precautions for those attending in person:

  • There is an expectation that all in-person attendees will be fully vaccinated (unless contraindicated due to health issues)
  • Everyone will need to wear a mask at all times
  • Hand sanitizer will be available
  • Chairs will be set up to allow for physical distancing
  • Tables and other high-touch surfaces will be cleaned with disinfectant
  • Communion will be bread only

For those participating by Zoom:

  • You should be able to see and hear what is happening in the room and will be able to speak during prayers and announcements.
  • Off-site planners will be able to do readings and any other speaking parts during the Mass.

We know there may be glitches and we will be soliciting feedback on the process. Please reach out to any of us with questions or concerns.

For the two Sundays after the hybrid liturgy (May 29 and June 5) we will return to our current arrangement with a Zoom only liturgy at 9:30 AM.

May 22, 2022 – hybrid liturgy on-site and Zoom 9:00 AM

May 29, 2022  – Zoom only (Memorial Day weekend) 9:30 AM

June 5, 2022 – outreach Sunday, Zoom only 9:30 AM

June 12, 2022 and beyond – TBA pending feedback from the May 22 liturgy.

Please forward as appropriate to members who are not on the PAX-L
